Make Room provided an opportunity for my husband and I to reconnect after 7 years of marriage. It is full of useful advice! I love the sections titled "On a Personal Note" where Dr. Rees uses examples from his own marriage to shed light on specific topics. I was able to relate to several of the case studies. We even learned new things about each other! The questions at the end of the case studies allow for deeper communication and a chance to experience happiness and intimacy. I would recommend this book to my friends!
Wow! Love this! I am a slow reader, but read this on a 2 hour flight. My hubby is reading it now. So excited to discuss this with him. I love the way it's written. Short chapters, with case studies that make you think and provoke discovery and dialogue. It's a great blueprint for connecting with your spouse, fiancée or if you are in a serious relationship. Dr. Rees' writing is lighthearted and fun to read, but hits every part of your relationship. Must read! I am ordering one for every family member, and especially people I know who are wanting to get married.
Wow! I am blown away by this book! Dr. Rees is just real about marriage. This book is an easy read and has so much great advice! The questions and examples are easy to learn from, see yourself in.....and just simply understand. He talks real about marriage and the issues along the way, and really presents very important communication tactics in such a short and concise way.....easy to discuss and implement in your marriage! The walk through the home is just an absolutely brilliant way to present the communication in marriage....nothing I have ever heard or presented this way before! This is a MUST READ for any married couple, no matter how long and for those couples considering marriage as well. My big question is....When are you releasing Book #2 Dr. Rees? I am ready to read it!
